Plant Health Care in Delaware, Ohio
The Problem Is Usually Underground
Here's what thirty-plus years in this business teaches you: most sick trees in Central Ohio don't have a tree problem. They have a soil problem.
Construction stripped the topsoil, compacted what was left, and planted a tree in it. Then the symptoms show up in the canopy — thin leaves, dieback, yellowing — and everybody wants to spray the leaves. The leaves aren't the problem.
So our plant health care starts below ground. We test the soil, and when the picture isn't clear we test the leaf tissue too. Then we treat what's actually wrong — not what it looks like from the driveway.
60+ Years of Combined Experience
Edmonds Tree & Landscape is a family business. We've been caring for trees in Central Ohio for over 30 years, and combined, our family brings more than 60 years of hands-on experience to every property we walk. We've seen just about everything these soils and this climate can do to a tree, and we know what actually works here — versus what sounds good in a brochure.
Honest Advice.
Here's our promise: we'll tell you when a treatment is worth the money, and we'll tell you when it isn't.
Some tree problems can't be fixed with a spray rig or an injection. If that's what you're dealing with, we'd rather say so up front than sell you something that won't help. And when we do recommend treatment, we'll tell you exactly what to expect — what it can do, what it can't, and how long before you see a difference.
We don't do miracle cures. We do honest work.
Planted Too Deep?
A lot of the struggling young trees we get called about were planted wrong — too deep, mulch piled against the trunk, burlap and wire left on, roots already circling and strangling the trunk. Sometimes we can fix it with a root collar excavation and the tree takes off. Sometimes the damage is done and the honest answer is to start over with a tree planted right.
Either way, we'll show you exactly what we find at the base of your tree and tell you straight which one it is.
What Our Bio-Stimulant Treatments Actually Do
Our bio-stimulant program feeds the biology in your soil — the part construction destroyed. We inject it under pressure with a soil probe, which fractures compacted soil mechanically while delivering nutrients and beneficial biology right to the root zone.
What to expect: stronger root growth, better nutrient uptake, better drought tolerance, and a tree that can fend off pests and disease on its own. What not to expect: an overnight transformation. This is the long game — annual treatments that build soil health season after season, not a one-time fix.

How It Works
We look. A walkthrough of your property — the trees, the soil, the drainage, the history of the site.
We test. Soil analysis, and leaf tissue analysis when we need a clearer picture.
We tell you straight. What's wrong, what's worth treating, what isn't, and what to realistically expect.
We treat — only what's needed. Targeted treatments. No broad-based pesticide applications, ever.
We come back. Plant health care is annual, not one-and-done. We monitor and adjust.
What We Won't Do
Spray pesticides across your whole yard “just in case”
Treat a tree before we know what's wrong with it
Sell you a treatment we wouldn't buy ourselves
